CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral therapy helps to reactivate the body's self-healing mechanisms.

Biodynamic craniosacral therapy is a form of bodywork that offers a balanced way to harmonize the body’s innate needs. The therapist attunes to their own inner alignment, allowing internal reorganization to take place within the body’s tissues, fluids, and biofield. This is a holistic movement toward the body’s inherent health. In craniosacral therapy, this inborn and ever-present health is referred to as the “Breath of Life.” The body’s anatomy and physiology are seen as being interconnected with the Breath of Life, which expresses itself through the body’s fluids—with particular focus on cerebrospinal fluid.

The practitioner’s state, touch, and presence create a shared field that allows for a sense of deep safety to emerge. Together with the therapist, the client enters a state of stillness- a dynamic silence often described as a profoundly healing state.

It is not the healer’s touch that gives you healing — health already exists within you. The therapist seeks out and supports the forces of health, usually to establish session priorities and allow natural changes to emerge from the body’s own resources. This approach is deeply oriented toward the wholeness of human experience, where the body’s anatomy and physiology are directly connected in real time with subtle life forces that act through the interface of bodily fluids. The practitioner listens to the subtle movements within the body’s fluids and tissues, and the natural motion toward stillness is seen as profoundly healing. The beauty of this therapy lies in its simplicity.
